Hi everyone,
Summer is here and time to dust off the Winter and lighten up the house with some organisation!
With long evenings, flowers in bloom and sunnier days, we need to freshen up our homes and make them as bright and airy as it is outside! So up on our Free Resources page, I’ve just uploaded a Summer Organising checklist.
These tasks are for inside and outside the house. So, for example, as the kids finish school for summer, now is the time to go back through the paperwork they bring home and file it. Do they need to keep it for next year? Do you want to keep some things as memorabilia? Or are there documents sent home that are out of date now and can be recycled?
If you leave this for too long, school paperwork can easily get out of hand. The kids last day of school is a great reminder day to just get this paperwork sorted. Secondary school students can do this themselves and should spend an hour or two making sure that paper they need to keep and can get rid of is all divided up and organised.
Outside, decluttering the garden lawn is a quick job to do. Flower pots, overgrown shrubs etc that may have fallen out of shape over the Winter can be tidied up. And if you can eat outside, why not organise the crockery and delf that you’d be happy to use outside and have it all clean and to hand. Because god knows, if we get good weather here and have the chance to whip out the BBQ, wouldn’t it be great to have everything ready to hand!
If you’re following us down under, don’t worry, a few months ago, I uploaded an Autumn Organising Checklist to help you get the house sorted before Winter arrived.

Let me know what you think? What have you done around the house for summer?
Happy Organising!
