Happy New Year! We hope you’ve had a really great start to 2017!
We’re kicking things off with a new checklist to download from our Free Resources page!
This new checklist is for the goals you’d like to achieve in 2017. We’ve given four categories “For Me”, “For the House”, “For my Finance”, “For My Relationships”. There are plenty of spaces on the checklist but don’t feel like you have to use them all. Be realistic with what you will actually be able to achieve when you take your time, work, and family commitments into consideration. Perhaps use the first space under each heading as your top priority. One thing that you really want to achieve in each area. If you get to achieve the other goals in the other spaces that’s a bonus.
There’s also a space for notes, so if you’d like to add in your top health goals, or top work goals for example, you can!
Now in order to achieve these goals, you’ll need to do a lot more than simply filling out this checklist, but writing down your ideas is a good start. Once they’re written, you can be more efficient in working out HOW you are going to do get things done. So don’t stop with this checklist. Take each of your four top priority goals and break them down.
- Perhaps they might need a date as a deadline to work towards?
- How many weeks are there to this deadline?
- What can you do each of those weeks to make this goal seem more manageable and more achievable.
By writing things down, you have a reminder, something to focus on daily, something tangible to help you make changes. Writing goals down gets them in to your subconscious.
Why not create a little ritual around the writing of these goals. Can you find thirty minutes this week for yourself? Light a candle, make a nice up of tea, put on some music and use your favourite pen. Simply enjoy the moment as you think of what you would like to do and to achieve this year to benefit these four areas of your life.
