I am absolutely delighted that the Organised Chaos blog scooped the Silver award in the Best Lifestyle Blog for a company category. This blog of mine has developed so much over the past year and while it can drive me crazy sometimes as it takes so much work, it has also really helped me learn an awful lot about my business.

I am passionate about organising – I just love doing it. Whenever I feel stressed out, I’ll usually end up organising and tidying something. Organising something gives me time to think and it’s mad but I always feel better after it! I also really do feel so strongly that life can be made a little easier by organising. Mainly because it gives us more time. And who doesn’t need more time?! I love that this blog gives me the facility to share my passion and show you guys, my readers, little techniques that hopefully will help you in your homes or businesses.

The awards themselves, organised by Ashville Media Group, took place in the Tivoli Theatre in Dublin last Thursday 22nd October. They had some fab food on offer and great entertainment throughout the night. As the winners were announced, it was great to see the different, amazing blogs that are out there in this country!

In the lifestyle category for companies, I was up against some brilliant blogs. I had spent the last few nights browsing through them myself and all of them were just so good. My congratulations to Girl Crew who took the bronze place and Go Harvey Norman who won the category! Here’s a little video I filmed as the nominees were called out – sorry for the poor quality!
The winners announced!
My blog wouldn’t have come about without my mother’s encouragement. She is a fantastic writer, and for as long as I can remember she has always been telling me, my brother David and my sister Orla to write! When I started blogging, like most people, I didn’t do it very regularly (opps!), but she constantly encouraged me to keep at it. Like so much good in my life, I have her to thank for this too.
As I said, the blog does take a huge amount of work, but thankfully it’s on a subject I love and with the award this week, I’m so happy that people enjoy what I’m writing about!
Thank you so much to those of you who voted in the early stages of this competition, to the judges and Blog Awards Ireland and especially to the readers of this blog, my followers on social media and my clients.
Now, what will I organise next…
Happy Organising!
